The Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan (MSMX)&nbsp;seeks&nbsp;to&nbsp;foster&nbsp;vibrant, 24/7 mixed-use&nbsp;neighborhoods&nbsp;across 42 blocks of Midtown South. The Plan focuses on these centrally located areas where new housing is not permitted under today&rsquo;s half century-old zoning rules. We want to make sure New Yorkers have a voice in shaping Midtown South&#39;s future. Learn about the MSMX planning process and help us understand the community&rsquo;s priorities.

Midtown South Mixed-Use Plan

The MSMX Plan was certified at the January 21, 2025, City Planning Commission Review Session. The Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) is a standardized procedure for public review of land use applications and involves many participants including the public, Department of City Planning, City Planning Commission, Community Boards, Borough President, and local elected officials. Certification marks the start of this approximately 7-month process. The public has many opportunities to participate throughout the process by attending Community Board meetings, reaching out to the Borough President, attending the City Planning Commission public hearing and reaching out to their elected officials. We encourage you all to add your voice in this important process.
